The biggest feeling I have after this event is APPRECIATION.
Appreciation for vendors who took a chance on my event and donated their time and skills. Appreciation for everyone who bought a ticket, whether they actually needed a manicure or not, because they were supporting me, my new business, and Make-A-Wish New Jersey, who wonderfully allowed me to take up their time, letting me campaign in their name, hoping for a successful event and big donation for their organization. And now, I appreciate even more, what I have the ability to create. Now, though, I also need to do something hard and evaluate what I did, what I didn't do and be honest with myself, because, if I want the next event to be even better, it's what I have to do. I learned a bit about dishonest vendors, unfortunately, which hurt our our donation to Make-A-Wish and I learned that I still need to do a little more running before I fly. No, I can't say, 'walk before I run', because with me, there usually is no walking, especially not at a slow pace! I appreciate that I have the opportunity to try to make this little company of mine work and I appreciate that I get to throw parties! I just hope more people will let me throw their parties for them. Until then, though, I'll work on my next idea and maybe find a few minutes for a manicure of my own! ~Melissa
